Sony Trademarks "PlayStation Arc" in Japan
It seems that the development codename for Sony's motion controller might not be a development codename after all.
Both Sony and Microsoft unveiled their respective gesture controllers last year at E3, but spell we've had a handy name to habit when talking about Microsoft's supernatural tv camera for almost a class now, we haven't had anything quite so expedient for Sony's offering. What do we call information technology? Arc? Gem? Plastic table tennis ball along a get?
Atomic number 3 information technology turns out, forthwith it might birth a name, and it's not exactly shiny and new: If you've been wondering what to call the Arc, question no longer, because you'll believably be officially calling it the … Arch.
Well, that was dull.
This comes from a earmark Sony filed in Japan registering the PlayStation Arc, a week before the gimmick is awaited to make an appearance at GDC '10.
IT's accurate that the being of a earmark doesn't make this a 100% sure thing, but it makes the betting odds importantly better that Sony has gone with Arc over the more exorbitant "Precious stone". Personally, though, I find information technology hard to get excited o'er "Arc" when Sony also registered a stylemark for Hitsuji Boueigun, which apparently translates to "Sheep Defense Forcefulness."
Does that sound like a GOTY to you or what?!
